My name is Ms. Sandra Nozet. I possess more than 25 years of progressive experience in the special education field and work in private schools. My professional history includes positions such as Life Skills Program Coordinator, Social Thinking Facilitator, Education Assistant, and Behavior Interventionist.
As a Social Thinking Skills Facilitator, I received training from the workshops and conferences of Michelle Garcia Winner. I have used her methodology for 10 years. Her website is www.socialthinking.com.
In a private school, I facilitate groups, one on one sessions, collaborate with team members and outside consultants, develop and implement Social Emotional goals. I am flexible. I work well independently, as well as part of a larger support team.

As a Life Skills Program coordinator, I worked with a wide range of children. Some of the challenges these children faced were as follow:
high functioning A.S.D
cognitive impaired down-syndrome
A.D.H.D. /A.D.D.
hearing impairment
behavioral challenges
social anxiety
In spite of these challenges, I see first and foremost the child and his or her potential. The children I work with always come first. Their diagnosed difficulties are merely a guide that informs the best professional approach to take with them.

My Success:
All the students graduated from the Life Skills Program are independent in transit taking, have a paid job, hold their food safe certification or babysitter certificate. All my students have friends and are living a meaningful and happy life. This is what I am most proud of.
